Morning on the Patio

This fountain originally was from the center of a little town from where people (and horses!) drank water. When they started construction to "modernize" the area, this fountain was going to be thrown away, but.... my grandma salvaged it!

It's so pleasant to sit out there in the morning with a steaming cup of tea and a good book, hearing the faint bubbling of the fountain!

Pretty Dress :)

Love this Carven dress!

Adventures

Estate Sale!
Not much to photograph but I found a cool vintage Boy Scout backpack ($5!) but it was a bit too "rustic" (aka old and stained) to tempt me. Bummer!

Totally creeping on a cute outfit I passed a few days ago!
(Also saw a lot of skinny cargos with oxfords - so cute!)

Also made some delicious granola bars... mmm! I used this Martha Stewart recipe, along with a few modifications.
I recommend getting the peanut butter (I used almond butter!) in a large jar to make sure you have enough... go to Costco whoo!

Mix it up by substituting/adding Cheerios, raisins, M&M's, or other nuts... I have absolutely no clue about their nutrition info/calories, haha so eat with caution!

Delightful Dining

AH! School started this past week, and all I can say is I'm glad the first week is over! It's good to be in a routine again, but I miss the fresh start of a summer day when you have the whole day ahead of you to do adventurous things/whatever your little heart desires!

Here are some fun shots/random inspiration where I would like to transport myself during my lunch at school (aka the crowded, noisy cafeteria)... wouldn't these settings be so much more delightful and intimate?

ok well this is more of an on-the-ceiling type of thang...

and this one I just liked the picture, not quite ideal for dining... perhaps a solitary lunch?

Warning: Flash Flooding; Beware Campers

Just some fun with photoshop... we left the farm in a mad downpour (The Notebook style)! Crazy! And of course Harry the dog decided to take my seat as we ran to the car... I got to enjoy 45 lovely minutes with hairy, water-soaked, and quite fragrant mutts in the back seat!

(This is my adorable cousin who decided to camp in the yard the night before!)

Rethink Going Green...

I can't decide whether these pictures resemble an old person's prune-y, wrinkly skin (Wicked-style green)... OR if they look like some kind of "grow-your-own" kit thing that you stick in water gone terribly arwy...

Regardless to what it may bear semblance, the green substance you are viewing is, in fact, algae! Kind of gross, I know, but we were clearing it off the pond's surface, and I could not resist snapping a few shots!
(^this one could totally be one of those mystery PC desktop pictures - you have absolutely no idea what it is)

But anyway, I have a good feeling about this... my vision? The next major cash crop! Rumor has it that biofuel is the way of the future! Aha!
I'm really hoping there's some Einstein-esque research facility that is willing to cough up boatloads for this stuff somewhere ... or perhaps some exotic spa is in need of a new anti-wrinkle agent... or maybe even McDonald's! I hear they put seaweed in their milkshakes!!!
I swear this is the next cash crop - it never stops growing!!!
