City Escape in the "Tree-tops"

Oh and check out another great post from Desire to Inspire right here. Some of these look like they should be inhabited by a hobbit!

Falling for Autumn

Here are some pics I took as a last hurrah for summer...

And sad story - I think the garden's last tomato got picked yesterday. As one growing season ends, another one starts: squash!!! I absolutely love any squash, butternut, acorn, spaghetti, you name it! Oh, even pumpkins, although I'm still partial to the other ones... pumpkins just don't seem to have the same, rich flavor.

Although can I say just how excited I am for fall! I love the vibrant autumn hues, fall fashion, cooler temps., apples (my favorite food in the entire world... well one at least ;), caramel apples for that matter, pumpkins, TV seasons starting (like Glee & Modern Family!), tights, Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice Lattes & their new Toffee Mochas... mmm (although I'm a bit anti-Starbucks except when I have a gift card),

Morning on the Patio

This fountain originally was from the center of a little town from where people (and horses!) drank water. When they started construction to "modernize" the area, this fountain was going to be thrown away, but.... my grandma salvaged it!

It's so pleasant to sit out there in the morning with a steaming cup of tea and a good book, hearing the faint bubbling of the fountain!

Pretty Dress :)

Love this Carven dress!

Adventures

Estate Sale!
Not much to photograph but I found a cool vintage Boy Scout backpack ($5!) but it was a bit too "rustic" (aka old and stained) to tempt me. Bummer!

Totally creeping on a cute outfit I passed a few days ago!
(Also saw a lot of skinny cargos with oxfords - so cute!)

Also made some delicious granola bars... mmm! I used this Martha Stewart recipe, along with a few modifications.
I recommend getting the peanut butter (I used almond butter!) in a large jar to make sure you have enough... go to Costco whoo!

Mix it up by substituting/adding Cheerios, raisins, M&M's, or other nuts... I have absolutely no clue about their nutrition info/calories, haha so eat with caution!

Found a really quirky website: Supermarket
Be sure to check out their watches... my favorites are the architectural ones!
