Chicago Series

Earlier this summer, my uncle visited from Portland! He's a professional photographer, and I was lucky enough to spend the day shooting with him in Chicago! I think I got some fun shots, but regardless, I learned so much about how to set up all different types of shots and how all of the previously unknown/unused buttons on my camera work! I, alone, took more than 500 pictures and have been slowly (but steadily!) sorting through and editing them. The sheer number is a bit intimidating, but I'm powering through -- it's just so hard to be brutal and delete some!

Mist-ery?

I'm alive!

This summer's weather has been absolutely insane! First, it's a boiling 90 degrees during the last week of school; I get out, and then it's 65 degrees out! Now from thunderstorms to heat advisories and everything in between, I have been the lucky duck who gets to commute (yes, partly by walking) through it all. 


However, I managed to capture one of the *ahem* finer days:

Summer morning mist! I pulled out of my driveway at about 6:23 a.m. to find the field across from my house completely engulfed in a blanket of fog!
