What happened to learning for the sake of learning? When I hear things like this I can't help but be a bit disappointed. Are we on a unidirectional course that is headed in the wrong direction? Learning is a beautiful thing, and receiving a proper education is an incredible opportunity that not everyone has the privilege to acquire. Conversely, teaching another person something new -- whether that be the mechanisms behind double-stranded DNA break repair or how to perfect a foam rosette in a cappuccino -- is one of the most rewarding acts one can do. Cheating in education means cheating both ends, regardless of which side is at fault. (I could keep going, but I'll spare you! Enjoy the read!)
