an·tique [an-teek]: in the tradition, fashion, or style of an earlier period

This weekend was the Randolph St. Antique Festival! Here are a few shots of some of the loot... unfortunately my camera has been doing this tragic battery flukiness, so I was only able to snap the first few stands...

This stand had some really cool pieces-I think the owner said they were the largest salvage company in the U.S.!

These were really fun (and huge) metal panels.
These were salvaged from an old NYC bank!

And then some of the smaller versions..

And we actually got one of the big panels.. don't know where it's going to go yet, but it really makes a statement!

So my dad went up to our farm this past weekend (and took some blurry iPhone pics), and guess what we have up there...foxhound puppies! They're so tiny that they look like guinea pigs!

And here's "Scrappy" (we don't really know his real name..)! He's one of our neighbor's jack russells who likes to come and visit! He's so weird-looking that he's cute (there will always be a little place for him in my heart ;] )!

The Origin of Tikkit..

So this summer I have decided to start my own jewelry line (soon to be on Etsy!). I am always making jewelry for friends, family, and myself.. etc., and, since it qualifies in the "handmade" category on Etsy, I'm just going to give it a shot!
So here are a few pieces that I am going to start with.... enjoy!

And most of these can be custom-ordered with different paper (for the laminated ones), tulle colors, beading, earring hooks, etc. - use your imagination!

These were my first big leap into the world of jewelry, and they really got me into making earrings!

These laminated ones are going to come in all different shapes, sizes, colors/patterns galore!!!
(Oh and I do headbands too!)

For the metal designs I can also make rings, necklaces, etc., etc. the list goes on!

Something New

So for a school project, everyone in my class had to do something "new," so I decided to make a dress!
