Deux thumbs up for Nellcote!

After the Randolph Street Market last weekend, the group and I went exploring the neighborhood and stumbled upon the most delightful and gourmet French bistro Nellcote! The food was absolutely fabulous and the interior definitely has the luxe factor. Think a full wall of vased lavender, crystal chandeliers, and rustic columns mixed with modern chairs/bar stools and tables. It has a wonderful combination of vintage charm and contemporary grandeur. We sat outside under the genius pergola -- only restaurant on Randolph that had some sort of covering outside. It really made the space, and brunch felt a lot more inviting amidst the industrial feel of the neighborhood. Plus, it has its own flour mill -- so cool! I definitely would love to meet the chef and/or owner! Very creative and playful yet very sophisticated (both in food and design)!

Our wonderful starter... brioche, petites madelines, fromage, tea-infused prunes, petite charcuterie, plus beurre de chez, raspberry jam, et lemon curd....

Is there anything better than a fluffy French omelette avec les pommes de terre?

Or a creative twist on poached eggs?

Check it out! 833 W Randolph St.!
