Why do the French only have one egg in the morning...?
... because one egg is an oeuf!

Foraging Fever.
[Remember Mushroom hunting?]
These pics make me want to go hiking in the forests of California or Colorado with an organic cotton tote and gingham picnic blanket and scout out some mushrooms, root veggies, dandelion greens. And drink spring water from a mason jar.

Hooray! It feels like spring outside!

Love when my city gets culinary shout-outs!
Hilarious site lmgtfy.com ("Let Me Google That for You") for when someone asks you a question that they could easily answer by Googling it. You type in the search, and it produces a link with the Google search results to pass on to the inquisitor.

Barging in.

P.s. How to talk to a fromage monger (because I know you're all dying to know)!
And thoughts on "participatory financing"?
Something I've definitely come to recognize a lot more since living in a 144 square-foot dorm room.

Bring on Spring!
I don't care what everyone else says. I love the snow! It bundles everything in a wonderful white blanket and makes me just want to snuggle up in bed with a good latte and the NY Times. But ok, I will admit that the indefatigable weekend snow reports are becoming a bit outrageous... I don't think I'd object to retiring the snow boots until next year.
Time for flu season to disappear -- spring fever's in the air!
Not to mention that all I want from mail services is a package with these little friends! Who says we can't have dorm pets?

Just rediscovered these too!
Mark Bittman gets me every time -- 3:08.
Finally, some clarity!
This library is working to save the world's plant diversity. Mine just got a new texting service. Go figure.
