Don't you just love websites where you can create your own outfit/look/product?! My shopping cart always seems to fill up like crazy, and yet I never actually check out when I'm done!
While searching for clothes on H&M's website, I accidentally found their "Fashion Studio"! You can create your own outfit and accessorize (men and women) with their current clothes in stock:
(I did 2 because I couldn't decide which jacket I liked better!)
Adidas also has a custom design site called "Mi Adidas" where you can design and personalize athletic shoes (basketball, tennis, running, etc.):
Nike has a similar site called "NIKEiD" for designing athletic shoes:
Another fun website, called Polyvore, is in reality, a fashion "community." You create "sets" by making collages with thousands of options of clothes, backgrounds, and celebrities (I know!), or one only containing a specific brand. It is quite entertaining, yet I can't help quitting in a huff when I can't make mine look like the "top" sets of the day...
Good luck: Polyvore.
I discovered this one while flipping through Town & Country's holiday gift guide issue. It is a really fun website that you probably should not venture on an empty stomach... I would know! You get to create your own ice cream flavor, and trust me, some of the ones available are pretty much unthinkable... and not to mention, quite unappetizing (i.e. avocado and bubblegum together??) !
What flavor are you? eCreamery.
I chose Peppermint Mocha Ice Cream with Snowflake Sprinkles and Chocolate Espresso Chips!
This is a website with which I have yet to experiment, but from just the looks of it, I think I'd better hop to it! Creating your own cupcakes! Is there anything better??
Happy feasting: Cupcakes!!!
Going along with the cupcake idea... I got quite a kick out of this one! Creating your own custom [note*] scented cupcake charms for necklaces/earrings/etc.!!! Who would have ever come up with this?!!
(mine would have to have the tiny cherry on top ! )
There was another link on the page for customized cupcake scarves... (I just had to...)
RLRugby + make your own = the next best THING! You can pick from the clothes in their Varsity Shop and and customize them with patches and labels and monograms etc.! There is also an iPhone App!!!
Rugby!!!
I remember seeing this website in an ad in some magazine, which I cannot recall at the moment, and was drawn to the food in the picture and... low and behold, I just found it Google! What a great idea-you can personalize pretty much anything that you plan on using for a party: napkins, plates, ribbons, and even candy tins!
One of my favorite websites/companies (Apple) lets you personalize the back of your iPod! How cool!
This idea takes personal to the next level... Kleenex Tissues lets you customize your tissue box! (and on the same page, you can sign up for their newsletter! wow!)

The majority of today has been spent sipping green tea, working on an I Spy 1,000 piece puzzle, and reading one of my fabulous Christmas presents: The Sartorialist by Scott Schuman! The blog "The Sartorialist" (is that how you identify blogs in text??)has now become a book! I'm absolutely loving it- grazie grazie mia sorella!!!
Well, we at least have the border...
(I apologize for the fuzzy iPhone pics today!!)
And probably once I'm done with this, I will be reorganizing/mucking out/reconstructing my desk! Thank you Ikea for creating adjustable furniture! My sister and I want to collaborate with mi madre (the interior designer!) to update our office - a nice, slowly-progressing project!
And I assure you that the before image does look a lot better/neater in person:
